1.How do I submit a manuscript for consideration?

School: If you would like to develop a textbook for our School Education publishing programme, please send us your proposal to eduedit.in@oup.com giving the following details:

1. Proposed title
2. Brief description
3. Intended readership
4. A copy of your CV

We will revert to you once we have examined your proposal.

Higher Education: If you would like to develop a textbook for our Higher Education publishing programme, please send us your proposal to eduedit.in@oup.com giving the following details:

2. Brief description
3. Intended readership
4. A copy of your CV

Please note that OUP India's current Higher Education publishing priorities are in the areas of engineering, computer science, biotechnology, business management and allied disciplines.

We will revert to you once we have examined your proposal.

Academic & General Reference: In order to submit a book proposal to Oxford University Press India, please send a proposal of 5-10 pages containing a brief description and readership for the volume, a chapter outline, extent, and author details. Please do not send extensive material such as an entire manuscript unless requested. We encourage prospective authors to view our website to make sure that their book would fit the list before submitting the proposal. Send proposals to: acad.in@oup.com

2. How can I get permission to use copyrighted material?
In an effort to make our permissions process more efficient, we are now providing access to permissions for which a publisher, media member or author can download, complete and fax or mail to us. Please note that our response to each request depends upon the accuracy and completeness of the form you have filled out. Thank you for your interest in Oxford University Press publications.

3. How do I get my name in the Oxford mailing list?
Sign up and receive e-mail notification of new releases. To subscribe, the viewer needs to register his name, email id, address, and category, i.e. individual, librarian, school teacher, college teacher, university professor, bookseller etc. This will be helpful in building databases under these categories.

4. How do I search for a book?
Use the Search and Advanced Search utilities to search the catalogue by Author, Title, ISBN, Publication Date and Keywords.

5. How can I place an order?
Customers outside India may please send their orders to our Customer Service department. For Customers in India who require either OUP Indian Branch publishing or OUP books worldwide can route their requirements through the nearest branch or showroom in India.
